Coetzee rides first winner in Singapore

Felix Coetzee, three times the champion jockey in his native South Africa and a top jockey in Hong Kong for 16 years, landed his first winner in Singapore when successful on INCOGNITO in the Class 5, Div 1 - 1400m sprint at Kranji tonight.

Coetzee made his maiden appearance at Kranji on Emirates Singapore Derby last July when he was unplaced in five rides.

After finishing third in his first ride on LISTEN UP tonight, Coetzee quickly stepped it up to score on INCOGNITO (Carry The Flag - Amazona by Vain).

"I’m very delighted to win my first race in Singapore", said Coetzee who is really looking forward to Sunday when he will partner ROCKET MAN in the Group 3 Woodlands Handicap for trainer Patrick Shaw who is sponsoring him for his second stint in Singapore.
