Hungarian picks up second win in Malaysia

PENANG, May 2, 2010

HUNGARIAN, who won his Malaysian debut in February to give trainer Aditiyan Selvaratanam his first winner in the country, is back in the winner's circle with a easy victory in a Class 4 (Banded 39-49) event over 1100m here today.

Ridden again by Jose De Souza who partnered him in his previous success, HUNGARIAN (Ghadeer - Budapeste by Roi Normand) got home by 1 1/4 lengths, putting behind two disappointing outings since his last success.

CHECKPOINT CHARLIE, who has found one to beat four times in his last five starts, found a change of fortune to romp home by 2 1/4 lengths in another Class 4 (Banded 39-49) - 1100m sprint.

The day's races began with an upset when GOLDEN ORCHID (Tuscany Flyer - Truly Lucky by Truly Vain) showed up for the first time in 12 starts to take the opening event to pay RM223 for a win.
