High five for Moreira second time around

Joao Moreira took full advantage of leading jockey Vlad Duric's absence by booting home five winners at Kranji tonight.

Three of the Brazilian's winners — ESTEEM POWER (Towkay - Dolphin Miss by Dolphin Street), INTERCEPT (Zerpour - Haughty Miss by Heroicity) and BLACK ICE (Mugharreb - Lady Migaloo by General Nediym) — had won their last starts for Duric while another, ETERNAL TRAVELLER, won two starts back under Duric.

Moreira, who had booted home five winners last Dec 4, kicked off his winning streak with ETERNAL TRAVELLER (Exceed And Excel - Three Dimensions by Sadler's Wells) and was in the money for the remainder of the evening in his next six rides, winning four more times including PINA COLARDA (Show A Heart - Carnegie Rock by Carnegie) whom he had partnered to victory last time out.

The wins took his tally to 20 for the season, just two behind Duric who is serving a suspension.
