There will be no clash of racing dates for the three Malaysian clubs when the Selangor Turf Club (SLTC) released their revised racing fixtures for 2012 today.

While SLTC retains some racing days on Sunday, they have also given a miss on a couple of Saturdays. The club has also taken over some novelty meeting dates announced by the Perak Turf Club earlier.

SLTC will race on a total of 18 Saturdays and 9 Sundays, beside the lunar new year meetings on Jan 23 and 24.

Penang Turf Club will retain their 13 weekends schedule while Perak Turf Club will also race on 13 weekends, with two additional novelty meetings on June 2 and 23.

The announcement today came as a relief to many in the industry as racing simultaneously on the same day in Malaysia will mean a stretch of resources.
