Gingerbread Man bags 3YO Classic

GINGERBREAD MAN remains unbeaten in age group feature races after another commanding display in the S$350,000 Singapore 3YO Classic over 1400m at Kranji here today.

Partnered by Vlad Duric, the colt easily held off the challenge of ZAN INFLUENCE (Rock Of Gibraltar - Kidman by Quest For Fame), the mount of visiting jockey Steve Arnold, to win the Group 3 event win by one and a half lengths.

GINGERBREAD MAN (Shamardal - Quaffle by Hurricane Sky) cover the journey in 1:22.29, just 1.03 second outside the course record held on GHOZI.

Winner of the Group 3 Juvenile Champion for two-year-olds over 1200m last July, the Bruce Marsh-trained colt carved out a narrow victory in the Group 3 Singapore 3YO Sprint early this month.

By winning the first two legs of the three-year-old series, GINGERBREAD MAN picked up a bonus of S$50,000 for his owners Gingerbread Stable. It will take a mighty good horse to beat him again in the final leg, the Group 1 S$500,000 Singapore Guineas Guineas (1600m) next month.
