Joao Moreira takes lead with treble

Brazilian jockey Joao Moreira, who rode a record 116 winners last year, leads the table's table for the first time season when he booted home three winners at Kranji here today.

The treble came on the heels of a double on Friday night which brought him level with the early season leader Vlad Duric on 46 wins.

After a slow start to the season, the champion jockey enjoying the sort of strike rate that took him to the title last year.

Moreira had a winning start to the afternoon when he scored on WHAT NOW (State City - Classic Look by Grosvenor). He then had an armchair ride on GORDON ROBERTS (Encosta De Lago - Gordon's by Kaapstad).

Moreita brought up his treble with CAIYAYA (Colombia - Pesaro by Pevero) who has returned to form with his second consecutive win in the Class 4, Div 2 - 1100m sprint on the polytrack.
