Second quadruple for Joao Moreira

Joao Moreira is back in red-hot form and setting his sights on another title after his record 116-winner strike last year.

Although the Brazilian jockey had a treble and a four-winner strike in January, he has not piled up the winners as he did last year in the past couple of months.

But his second quadruple of the season at Kranji today could set him off again.

Moreira started the Good Friday meeting on a winning note, scoring on ANDIKO (Mizzen Mast - Ten Cents A Dance by Two Punch). He went on to score on SANDRA (King's Chapel - Tina by Danasinga) and FORGIVEN (No Excuse Needed - Localpoint by Danasinga) before completing the winning streak on SMART GENERAL (Ishiguru - Poacher's Prize by Prized).

His four winners today brought his tally to 30 for the season, nine behind Vlad Duric who has set the pace from the start of the year.
