It's now RM10 for win and place bets

KUALA LUMPUR:  Mar 11, 2011

Per unit investment on the win and place tote in Malaysia will be changed from RM5 to RM10 from tomorrow.

With the switch, the new minimum payout for a win will be RM11.

Per unit investment in other forms of bets will remain unchanged at RM2.

The three Malaysian clubs made the change after suffering a RM5.5mil loss when ROCKET MAN romped to another easy win in the RDA Cup (Kranji Stakes A) at Kranji last Sunday.

The seven-horse event saw RM15mil being wagered on the race, a record for a single race. But with a minimum RM6 payout for a RM5 bet, the clubs suffered a record deficit on the race as well.
