Apprentice Troy See lands first double

MAKKURA snatches his fifth win in Singapore to give Troy See

Young apprentice Troy See provided the shock of the evening when he partnered DOUBLE CASH to victory in the Class 5 - 1000m handicap, then repaid punters winning on odds-on favourite MAKKURA in the Kranji Stakes C - 1000m sprint at Kranji tonight.

DOUBLE CASH showed up for the first time in five starts to beat the first two favourites and paid $266 for a win.

MAKKURA, who won her only start in New Zealand, has continued to make progress in Singapore. Tonight's win was her fifth in nine outings at Kranji.

The double was See's first since began riding this year and took his tally to nine.
