Brazilians on show again at Kranji

The Brazilians were again in the limelight as Joao Moreira continued his remarkable record at Kranji, booting home a treble to add to his double on Friday night.

Right on his heels is compatriot Manoel Nunes, who just moved to Singapore after a notching six premierships in Macau and was again leading the table when he left the former Portugese enclave last week.

STRIDE METEOR found the end of a long lane when he took the opening event with Moreira. Having won twice in seven starts in Australia, the six-year-old finally broke the duck in Singapore in his 26th outing.

Expensive import PROVIDENCE justified his price tag of NZ$180,000 as a yearling when he won his second start in the Restricted Maiden - 1100m sprint, after which Mark Walker predicted a bright future for the three-year-old.

Nunes struck with FLYING ZERO who was having his second start in Singapore after notching up a win in 17 starts in Australia. The A$150,000 yearling purchase looks like he will pick up more wins now that he has notched up an early victory in Singapore.
