BETTER LIFE is back to her best and ready to take on some of the best galloper in the world in the S$3mil Singapore Airlines International Cup over 2000m next month.

Stepping up on a splendid third in the JBBA Moonbeam Vase (1800m) three weeks ago after a five-month spell, the Australian mare had the perfect tune-up for her task ahead when winning the Group 2 S$350,000 Queen Elizabeth II Cup over 2000m at Kranji here tonight.

Ridden by Alan Munro who also piloted her to victory in the Kranji Mile (1600m) and Singapore Gold Cup (2200m) at the tailend of last year, BETTER LIFE came from midfield to win by one and a quarter lengths.

"She was about 98% fit for tonight’s race and will be at her top for the SIA Cup," said trainer Hideyuki Takaoka. Which is good news for Singapore racing.
