Jockey Parma Sivan Veerapan (V Sivan) has failed in his appeal against a 18-month disqualification and a S$50,000 fine for his handling of JERAM CLIPPERA in a Class 4, Div 1 - 1200m sprint on the polytrack on Mar 17.

The appeal panel’s hearing of his appeal was concluded yesterday.

After considering all of the evidence together with submissions from Sivan, his legal counsel and the Chief Stipendiary Steward, the appeal panel dismissed the appeal against conviction and the penalty imposed by the panel of stewards.
