High riding Aify tops with four winners

KUALA LUMPUR: Oct 11, 2014

Yudanyl Aify, who is riding on the crest of a wave this season, enjoyed his best ever afternoon in the saddle when he booted home four winners at Sungei Besi here today.

Wins on CASINO KING, NOBLE FOUR, ZAFONIC STAR and FUNCA brought his tally for the season to 31, easily surpassing his previous season in 2008 when he finished fifth in the table with 23 winners.

Aify is currently fifth in the table and trails fourth-placed Jackson Low by one win and third-placed Azhar Ismail by six wins. A top three finish is a distinct possibility.

It was the second start in the country for CASINO KING who won three races in Singapore.

Former Irish winner NOBLE FOUR has now won five races in the country.

It's now three times from five starts in Malaysia for ZAFONIC STAR after chalking up four wins in Singapore.

For FUNCA, it was the end of a long lane. The four-time winner in Argentina (including a Listed race) was unsuccessful in 29 starts in Singapore and broke the duck in just his third start in Malaysia.
