Callow and De Souza dominate KL races

KUALA LUMPUR: Oct 18, 2014

After landing just one winner last weekend, Noel Callow was back to his brilliant best when he booted home four winners at Sungei Besi here today.

Jose De Souza, who is leading the table after finishing third last year and second in 2012, stretched his already commanding lead with a treble of his own and is now 22 winners clear of second-placed Jai Shankar, last year's champion.

Callow took the opening two events on SPEEDY BOLT AND CAPRICCI PRINCE before De Souza replied with BRIGHT LIFE and REAL MEAN.

Callow landed two more wins on SUPER GOOD and RISE UP THE RANK before De Souza wrapped up the afternoon on DUEL OF HONOUR.

The shock of the day came from KIM ALBERT who showed up for the first time in five starts to win narrowly and paid RM144 for a win.

The Australian gelding won once in 10 starts in Perth before coming up here.
