Apprentice Tan steals show with treble

IPOH: Mar 1, 2014

Apprentice Tan Chee Kit stole the thunder when he booted home three winners here today, displaying the form that brought him 15 winners in 2009.

Since that career best season, his fortunes took a dive as he won only one race the following year. His haul for the past three seasons read: 2, 3 and 3.

Apprenticed to trainer Chong Keng Leong, Tan rode two winners for his master today on STAR QUALITY and MAGICAL TEN. His other winner, LEGAL LORD, was for trainer Leong Poh Keong.

The treble brought his tally to five for the season.
