Trainer Loh relinquishes licence

IPOH:  Jun 24, 2014

Malaysian racing which is going through the most difficult time in his history, has claimed another "casualty".

Former top local jockey turned trainer Loh Kin Kuen has thrown in the towel and relinquished his licence after saddling seven winners this year.

Loh was granted stables by the Perak Turf Club and obtained his licence in April 2012 and saddled his first winner in September that year. He has four more wins in 2012 and has a decent season last year with 12 winners.

Early in the year, Penang based Wee Mung Hua, who had been doing very well in the past two years with 40 winners (6th) in 2012 and 32 winners (7th) last year, surprisingly quit the game.
