Lou Ho loses appeal on RM40,000 fine

PENANG:  Sep 30, 2014

Jockey Lou Ho, who is currently serving a six-month suspension for his ride on HAPPY SURPRISER, has lost his appeal against a RM40,000 fine imposed together with the suspension.

The Penang Turf Club racing stewards today heard Ho’s appeal against the fine.

After considering submissions from Ho and the acting chief stipendiary steward, Peter Dombkins, the racing stewards dismissed Ho’s appeal. The fine of RM40,000 remains in effect and his deposit is forfeited.
