Air Strike on target in fifth outing

KUALA LUMPUR: Nov 7, 2015

AIR STRIKE has become the first of the last batch of horses produced by the National Stud Farm (NSF) — which has ceased operation — to win a race, and the first progeny of the the stallion MAFNOOD to do so.

After finishing down the field in five previous outings, the four-year-old hit the mark when he led all the way in a Class 5 - 1200m sprint at Sungei Besi here today, winning easily by two and a half lengths.

MAFNOOF, by the Group 1 winner GIANT'S CAUSEWAY, was unraced and brought in to stand at the NSF in 2010.
