Johnny Lim stars with four winners

KUALA LUMPUR: Jun 20, 2015

Former champion trainer Johnny Lim has his best day for some time when he saddled four winners at Sungri Besi here today, with his former apprentice Harmeet Singh Gill partnering three of them.

Harmeet, champion apprentice in 2008 when he finished third in the overall table with 53 wins and in second in 2009 with 39 wins, judged the pace to perfection when he brought SWISS BANK from second last position at home turn to win drawing away in a Class 4 - 1400m handicap. It was the American gelding's fourth win in 17 starts.

Harmeet went on to score on the favourite KIM AND DRAGON and second-elect NINE POINT. The former was winning for the fourth time while it was a maiden success for the latter.

Lim, champion trainer in 2008 (71 wins) and 2009 (58 wins), also sent out ULTRA UNITED to victory. It was the gelding's second win in 9 starts.
