Highland Falcon soars again

PENANG: Mar 20, 2016

HIGHLAND FALCON bounced back to form after 12 months to register a huge upset in a Class 4 - 1100m handicap here today, winning by three lengths to pay RM271.

Four-time winner LUCK SUCCESS, narrowly beaten over 1200m o this track in his last start, started the firm favourite but was no match for HIGHLAND FALCON, who won back-by-back race early last year and was soon after transferred to current trainer Ismadi Ismail.

HIGHLAND FALCON came to Malaysia after managing a fourth in four starts in Ireland and was placed in his first five starts, winning twice.

But he went amiss and managed just one placing in 11 starts before finding the mark again today, completing a double for apprentice Wong Kam Chong.

Earlier, Wong scored on his master's Chong Keng Leong BRAVE MALALA.

There was also a double for Aizat Adbul Malik who was successful on FAIRBORN and XAVIO. Another apprentice Lim Aun Kean scored on PRERICH to make it five wins from six races for apprentices.
