The General takes command again

THE GENERAL gets back into the winner's circle with his fourth win in

Thanks to two decent barrier trials this month, THE GENERAL bounced back to form in style when he won the Kranji Stakes C - 1200m sprint on the polytrack at Kranji here tonight.

The Argentinian gelding finished last just last month, after encountering rough passages in the running, and beat one home the start before a month earlier.

But THE GENERAL showed that these were temporary setbacks when he coasted home by three-quarter length with Barend Vorster in the saddle. Vorster has now ridden him in three of his four wins in Singapore.

"The nice pace suited him," said Vorster of the race today.

THE GENERAL also won one race in Argentina when racing as BARON DE PARIS.
