Penang races were curtailed today after just one race has been run. Six races were scheduled.

Today's meeting was a replacement for last Sunday's races which were totally called off due to adverse weather conditions.

"Due to adverse track conditions because of the inclement weather and for the safety of the riders as well as the horses, Penang Turf Club decided to cancel the rest of the races", the Club said in statement.

Horses in the opening race really struggled in the adverse condition and the race was run in 1min. 28.7secs.
