Two score upset wins in the mud

JERAM GLORY and BULL AND BEAR both returned to form after a long lapse to score surprise wins in soft going here today.

Eight-year-old JERAM GLORY has managed just one placing in 17 starts since coming over from Singapore where he found success twice.

But he was simply too good today as he settled second early before taking the lead going into the straight to win by 1 1/4 lengths. He paid RM71.

BULL AND BEAR was placed twice in 18 outings since his last win 12 months ago but was a totally different proposition today when ridden by SS Vanan for the first time.

After settling just off the pace, he surged to the front in the home stretch and easily held on to win by 3/4 length to pay RM143.

It was the gelding's fifth win in Malaysia after managing just two in Singapore.
