Curatolo on the double in Singapore

Macau-based Frenchman Ryan Curatolo delivered two winners in his flying one-day visit at Kranji here today.

Booked for four rides by trainer Kuah Cheng Tee, the 25-year-old needed just one warm-up ride before booting home GOLDEN SPARK and EDEN GARDEN to victory.

GOLDEN SPARK has finished down the field in seven starts since his maiden win last April. But today, the American three-year-old was up with the pace when taking out the Class 5 - 1000m sprint on the polytrack.

For EDEN GARDEN, it was the end of a long lane as the six-year-old finally saluted the judges in his 21st start.

"This is wonderful. Better than I thought it would be," said Curatolo who was based in America before moving to Macau. "I’m very delighted with such an amazing first day in Singapore. One was great, but two is unreal."
