Vlad Duric lands four winners in comeback

Vlad Duric returned from a five-day ban for careless riding and went straight to business, winning four of the first five races at Kranji here tonight.

SOUTHERN GLORY landed only his second win in 24 starts when he took the opening event for Duric. The Aussie had an easier time in the next race with runaway winner MAKKEM LAD, who started odds-on after finishing second twice in his first three runs.

After finishing second in his next ride, Duric had another back-to-back double with THE BIG EASY and THOMAS DE LAGO.

THE BIG EASY beat one home in his debut two months ago but showed vast improvement to lead all the way.

THOMAS DE LAGO, who broke through in maiden company last start, made further headway to also lead all the way.

"It’s always good to come back a winner after a little break, two is even better, but four, it doesn’t get any better. There is still a long way to the finish, though," said Duric, last season's champion jockey who is again leading the table.
