Late attack lands Multiblue Shark another win

After breaking through for his maiden win in November last year, MULTIBLUE SHARK has been going from strength to strength.

Unplaced just once in the last 12 months, the Myboycharlie gelding picked up five more wins this season. The five-year-old stepped up a class here today when he fought his way to his biggest win yet in the Elcarim 1988 Handicap, an Enrich Stakes A event over 1400m.

The seven runners made it the most competitive race of the day with the field bunched up till the 200m when NASIR kicked away from the rest.

MULTIBLUE SHARK gave chase and it was only in the last few strides that he caught up with the leader, winning a neck. BIG LIGHTNING also put in a claim and finished a further neck away third.

Trainer Stephen Cook picked up MULTIBLUE SHARK at the Horses In Training sale, paying just A$30,000 for the then two-year-old.
