Truson marks milestone with Cup win

TRUSON marked his 50th career start by winning the Wuhan Jockey Club Goodwill Cup here today.

It was also the 14th win by the seven-year-old since he began racing in July 2014, with winning the Coronation Cup in 2016, the Piala Emas Sultan Selangor last year and the Perak Derby last January being the highlights of his career.

TRUSON showed that he still racing at his peak when he battled to victory in the Enrich Stakes A event over 1600m today.

The day's racing ended with a big upset when nine-year-old EMPIRE BAY battled to victory to pay RM502 for a win.

The son of Iffraaj had been a winner just two starts back and it was his ninth win in 76 starts. He won four times in Singapore before coming over to Malaysia.
