Promising stayer continues Incredible feats

I'M INCREDIBLE makes it back-to-back group wins by taking the

Just four weeks ago, I'M INCREDIBLE surprised quite a few (except his trainer Shane Baertschiger) when he stepped up from winning in Class to capture the Group 3 Committee's Prize (1600m) with a very handy impost of 50kg.

The promising galloper's profile went up another notch when he defied a 4kg rise in weight and an extra 400m to travel to win the Group 3 Ultima El Dorado Classic at Kranji here tonight.

Partnered by A'Isisuhairi Kassim again, I'M INCREDIBLE took command on settling down and led his rivals on a merry chase, easily holding off the challenge of STAR JACK in the home stretch to win by half a length.

I'M INCREDIBLE started his career only as a four-year-old last October but has now won five times in nine starts.

"The trip wasn’t a query for I'M INCREDIBLE. I knew he would run out the 2000m," said Baertschiger. "He will improve a lot from the run and I think he’ll be a major force to reckon with in the Gold Cup (on Nov 10). He’s a stayer in the making."

A'Isisuhairi said: "At the 600m, I knew it would take a very good horse to beat him. I had plenty in hand as I didn’t use much gas and he was so relaxed. He wanted to lay out a little at the 200m and that’s why I changed my whip from the left hand to the right hand. He’s a really good horse."
