Former Sydney pair amongst Walker's treble

A pair of former Sydney gallopers won first-up in Singapore to set trainer Mark Walker off to a splendid treble on the polytrack at Kranji here today.

INHERIT, who had a win and two placings in eight runs Down Under, run down the front-running SUPER WIN with ease to win the Class 4, Div 1 - 1200m handicap.

"I think he’s better than Class 4 and he will get much better over more distance. He probably needed every bit of the 1200m today, he was outgrounded," said Walker.

ALTAIR outclassed his rivals to record a runaway 2 3/4-length win in the Class 4 - 1100m sprint. The son of Zoustar raced 11 times at two and three for a win and five placings.

"He’s a very nice horse. He was trapped wide, he hit the front a little too soon and wandered a little, but he was still strong to the line," said the bang-in-form rider of ALTAIR.

Walker had a third win for the meeting when he saddled YULONG EDITION to win the Class 4 - 1600m handicap. It was the Irish gelding's second win in seven starts in Singapore.

The son of Makfi won races and was placed twice in seven runs at three in England.
