Symbol Of Courage too strong for rivals

Unplaced in two runs in Singapore, SYMBOL OF COURAGE has been a model of consistency since his transfer to Malaysia at the beginning of last year.

Before the unforced break in racing in Malaysia, however, the Warhorse gelding was unplaced in two runs following a sequence of three wins and five placings in as many starts.

The break seems to have benefited the five-year-old as SYMBOL OF COURAGE has bounced back with consecutive wins at Sungei Besi here in the last two weeks.

Following the Australian gelding's success in a combined Class 2 & 3 event over 1200m at long odds last week, punters sent him out at RM6 in today's Class 3 - 1100m sprint.

SYMBOL OF COURAGE gave his backers no anxious moment, leading from start to finish to win by 2 1/4 lengths.
