A debut winner in Singapore last September, SINCERELY is back to winning ways, taking out the Class 2 - 1400m handicap at Kranji here today in his seasonal debut.

Partnered by apprentice Hakim Kamaruddin for the first time, the French gelding settled nicely behind the pace before going on to win by half a length.

It was his second win in six starts in Singapore, having scored in three of seven outings in France, including the listed Prix Millkom over 1600m at Toulouse.

SINCERELY had his first crack at the group race last time out when he finished third to SUPER DYNASTY in the Group 3 Colonial Chief Stakes over 1600m.

"The distance was a bit of a concern today as he’s more of a miler, but the 48.5kgs helped him," said Michael White, assiatant to trainer Michael Clements. "This horse has really improved. He ran well in the (Group 3) Colonial Chief Stakes."

"He had a few issues when he first came (in November 2019), but the thing we found about horses from Europe is they need about 12 months to run to their best. So, the long time off was a blessing to him."
