Lonely Boy back in top gear

LONELY BOY is back in the winner's circle after two creditable performances in the last two months.

After notching a hattrick early in the season, the English gelding earned a crack at the Tunku Gold Cup after an easy win in a Class 2 - 1200m handicap last April.

In the biggest race of the year so far, LONELY BOY finished fourth behind the runaway winner AWESOME STORM.

Last month, the six-year-old have another creditable showing when fourth to EXCELLING in a Cosmo A event over 1200m in Penang.

LONELY BOY was racing for the first time in Ipoh today but took the track well in winning the Enrich Stakes A event over 1400m.

Racing in midfield early, he took a gap between runners at the 200m when a line of four horses were battling it out to charge through. He then beat DISTINCTIVE DARCI and CHINA CAPTAIN after a brief tussle.
