Spiderman climbs up the ranks

Placed third in his only start at two in New Zealand, SPIDERMAN failed to show up in seven outings in Singapore when racing as CHARMSHAAB.

Sold and transferred to Peter Lee in Ipoh last July, the Charm Spirit gelding was renamed and within a couple of months started to show some form.

A win in Class 5 last November was followed by another in Class 4 three weeks ago.

Racing for the first time away from Ipoh, SPIDERMAN led his two rivals in the Class 4 - 1100m sprint here today and went to the line a clear three-length winner.

Only three races were staged today and Lee also took the second race with FLYING SPIDER.

The opening race saw a 1-2-3-4 finish for trainer Bonny Ng. However, punters were caught on the wrong foot when PENANG MAN landed his first win since August 2022 to pay RM50 for a win.
