NOVEMBER HOME-BASED MEETING
Sunday,  15 November 2015

 RACE 1:  CLASS 5 - 1600M

Trainer Peter Lee Choong Leng was fined RM250 for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to remove the use of winkers on BARKER ROAD KID (F Yap).

Trainer Nor Azman was fined RM250 for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to declare the use of winkers on BOMB CHA CHA (App SU Lim) within the stipulated time.

PISCES GEM (App KC Wong) and SPACE INVADER (J Low) were slow to begin.

BARKER ROAD KID fly-jumped on jumping, thereafter slipped and became unbalanced on the first turn.

BOMB CHA CHA shifted outwards abruptly away from the rail at approximately the 1400m turn.

PISCES GEM and GREAT PRINCE (App KC Tham) came together and brushed at approximately the 150m mark.

KIWI MAESTRO (App AK Lim) switched out over the heels of GOOD GIFT (J Shankar) to obtain clear running at approximately the 100m mark.

Post-race veterinary examinations of PISCES GEM and BARKER ROAD KID revealed no obvious abnormality. PISCES GEM was impounded.

A post-race veterinary examination of MAGICAL TEN (App J Daniel) revealed that the mare had returned lame both fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000m/Vet) before being declared to race again.

 RACE 2:  CLASS 4 - 1600M

CAST KING, which was up 18kgs, PAST IMPERFECT and THE THINKER, which were both up 19kgs in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

CHINESE CULTURE (TM Wan) and ROYAL GREEN (J Shankar) were both checked by the Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and were passed fit to start.

CHINESE CULTURE, which stood and was slow to start, will be required to pass a test (1 starting stall) before being declared to race again.

At approximately the 1000m mark, MIRACLE PRAY (App T Krisna) shifted inwards, making contact with ROYAL GREEN.

APRIL RAIN (F Yap) shifted outwards at approximately the 100m mark and made contact with CAST KING (App SU Lim).

MOVIE GOER (M Razali), which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000m/Vet) before being declared to race again.

Post-race veterinary examinations of MIRACLE PRAY and LONHMIN (App AK Lim) revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that CHINESE CULTURE had returned broken-winded and as such, will be required to undergo corrective surgery and thereafter pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

Jockey Lou Ho, the rider of STREET TEASE reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of STREET TEASE revealed no obvious abnormality.

 RACE 3:  CLASS 4 - 1600M

RIEDEL, which was down 23kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

BOYCE AVENUE (J Low) raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

LUCK DRAGON (App SU Lim), MAYWEATHER (HS Gill) and HORIZON LAD (App AK Lim), which raced poorly, will each be required to pass a test (1000m/Vet) before being declared to race again.

Jockey HS Gill, the rider of MAYWEATHER felt something amiss and eased his mount down from approximately the 450m mark. He reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of MAYWEATHER revealed no obvious abnormality.

When questioned regarding the apparent poor performance of MAYWEATHER, Trainer Kevin Coetzee felt that the soft going today, attributed to the horse’s poor performance. Trainer Kevin Coetzee was advised that should he find anything amiss with this gelding during the week, he has to report back to the Stewards.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that RIEDEL (App KL Lee) had returned having cast its off-fore plate and was lame off-fore. RIEDEL will be required to pass a test (1000m/Vet) before being declared to race again. As RIEDEL was unable to be scoped, a subsequent veterinary examination will follow.

 RACE 4:  CLASS 4 - 1100M STR

D’CREATOR, which was up 17kgs, and MAL’S DAD, which was down 28kgs in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

MARATHON LAD (App CT Lee), which stood and lost considerable ground, will be required to pass a test (1 starting stall) before being declared to race again.

MONEY MAKES MONEY (App KC Wong) jumped awkwardly outwards and made heavy contact with COSTNER (App M Rashpassing).

MAL’S DAD jumped awkwardly outwards, resulting in Jockey J Shankar brushing the outside gate.

LIGHTNING ROD (M Razali) had a tendency to shift inwards away from the whip from the 400m to the 100m mark.

Post-race veterinary examinations of ALL SERENE (App SU Lim), LIGHTNING ROD and COSTNER revealed no obvious abnormality. ALL SERENE was impounded.

 RACE 5:  CLASS 4 - 1100M STR

Trainer Nor Azman was fined RM250 for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to declare the use of shadow-roll on JACKWIN (J Shankar) within the stipulated time.

As the start was affected, NO MONEY NO TALK (F Yap) jumped awkwardly outwards, simultaneously HERE COMES THUNDER (WK Yan) jumped awkwardly inwards, resulting in SMART SAMURAI (App I Amirul) and DRAGON KNIGHT (App KC Tham) being crowded and losing ground.

A post-race veterinary examination of NOTHING TO LOSE (App KP Lim) revealed that the gelding had returned lame off-fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of ACOUSTIC (App SU Lim) revealed that the gelding had returned with heat stress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of NO MONEY NO TALK revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that HERE COMES THUNDER (WK Yan) returned having cast both fore plates.

 RACE 6:  CLASS 5 - 1000M

OZZY, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near-fore cannon, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

NELSON M (CK Tan), FLY KITTY FLY (Lou Ho) and RACING MAN (SS Vanan) were slow into stride.

SUBURBAN SECRET (TM Wan) raced wide on the turn and into the straight.

A post-race veterinary examination of FLY KITTY FLY revealed that the mare had returned lame near-fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of CERIUM (App AK Lim) revealed no obvious abnormality. CERIUM was impounded.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that SUBURBAN SECRET had bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

 RACE 7:  CLASS 5 - 1000M

As the start was affected, HENNESSY DRAGON (S Thai Yang) jumped awkwardly inwards, simultaneously SILVER AND GOLD (App SU Lim) jumped awkwardly outwards, crowding IRREPRESSIBLE (App I Amirul), AWINISAWIN (J Shankar) and BELWINS (M Razali).

PROPITIONS GOLD (WK Yan) and UNDERCOVER MISSION (App AK Lim) were slow into stride.

TWELFTH AVENUE (HS Gill), which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

App KL Lee, the rider of SMALL TIGER reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of SMALL TIGER revealed no obvious abnormality.

Post-race veterinary examinations of AWINISAWIN and TWELFTH AVENUE revealed no obvious abnormality.

A post-race veterinary examination of IRREPRESSIBLE revealed no obvious abnormality. IRREPRESSIBLE was impounded.

At the conclusion of an inquiry today, App KC Tham, the rider of LUCK TREASURE in the presence of his master Trainer Nor Azman pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding LUCK TREASURE, he allowed his mount to shift outwards shortly after the start, thereby causing interference to TWELFTH AVENUE (HS Gill) having to check his mount and lose ground. App KC Tham was suspended from riding in races for a period of two Malaysian race days, effective tomorrow, Monday, 16 November 2015 and to expire on Saturday, 28 November 2015, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his right of appeal (6.50pm).

 RACE 8:  OPEN (SW) - 1400M

TRUSON and CANDY CRUSH, both course scratching as they had respiratory allergy and bruised near-hind cannon respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

STAR QUALITY, which was up 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

NICEONE (App J Daniel) cast its near-fore plate whilst behind the barrier. Acting on veterinary advice that NICEONE was difficult to be re-shod and to avoid unnecessary delay, Stewards ordered the withdrawal of NICEONE at 5.01pm.

Acting on a report from the Starter that TEN SENSE WIN (F Yap) was difficult to be loaded, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of TEN SENSE WIN at 5.06pm. TEN SENSE WIN will be required to pass one starting stall test before being declared to race again.

SOUL COMMANDER (M Razali) dipped on a number of occasions at approximately the 800m mark.

Post-race veterinary examinations of TRIPLE ONE D’BEST (App SU Lim), LUXURIOUS CHOICE (J Low) and SUPER CROWN (App P Mogun) revealed no obvious abnormality. TRIPLE ONE D’BEST and LUXURIOUS CHOICE were impounded.

 RACE 9:  CLASS 5 - 1400M

ZHAN SHEN, which was up 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

GOLD COAST CAPTAIN (App KC Tham) and LEAP OF FAITH (App J Daniel) were slow to begin.

ZHAN SHEN (WK Yan) steadied over the heels of MARINI WALTZ (Lou Ho) at approximately the 1300M mark.

A post-race veterinary examination of CLASSIC ARROW (S Thai Yang) and CHINESE STREET (J Shankar) revealed no obvious abnormality. CLASSIC ARROW was impounded.

 RACE 10:  CLASS 5 - 1400M

HEART BY HEART, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised heels both fore, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

Light rain fell prior to and during the running of this race.

THRUST (App I Amirul) jumped awkwardly outwards, making heavy contact with JETSTAR EAGLE (App KC Tham).

At approximately the 800m mark, HALO IMAGE (App KL Lee) ran up onto and clipped the heels of FIRE GENERAL (Lou Ho), resulting in HALO IMAGE stumbling badly, unbalancing its rider, causing its saddle to slip sideways. JETSTAR EAGLE, which was following, had to check outwards over the heels of HALO IMAGE.

Shortly after, App KL Lee lost the use of his irons and failed to re-gain it from the approximately the 450m mark and had to be eased out of the race.

A post-race veterinary examination of UNDOUBTEDLY CLEVER (K Yazid) revealed no obvious abnormality.

After running of Race 10, App KC Tham, the rider of JETSTAR EAGLE was shown the film in the presence of his master Trainer Nor Azman with regards to his ride on this gelding. He was warned to ride all his mounts in a manner so as to leave no room for query.
