EARLY DECEMBER MEETING

 RACE 1:  CLASS 5 - 1700M

Emergency acceptors DON’TSTOPBELIEVING, PERFECT FIXER and HAPPY SURPRISER were withdrawn due to a capacity field.

ALEX FIVE O, a course scratching as it was lame near-fore, will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

Acting on veterinary advice that HITCHHIKER (CK Tan) was lame off-fore, the Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 12.50 pm. HITCHHIKER will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

RUNFORIT (App Z Khairil) reared as the start was effected.

LEAP OF FAITH (App J Daniel) was pulling hard and was difficult to settle in the early part of the race.

FLY NOW (App KL Lee) was caught wide on the first turn.

Rounding the turn at about the 450m, ZENIDIN (J Shankar) checked on the inside of COCONUT (App S Shafrizal).

App SU Lim, the rider of INI KALI, dropped his near-side rein in the concluding stages.

Post-race veterinary examinations of ZENIDIN, LEAP OF FAITH and NONEMOREDESERVING (App KC Wong) revealed no obvious abnormality. ZENIDIN and NONEMOREDESERVING were both impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

Jockey M Zairi, the rider of KIWI MAESTRO, reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A veterinary examination of revealed no obvious abnormality.

 RACE 2:  CLASS 4 - 1400M

Emergency acceptors VICTORY MARCH and MR WHYTE were withdrawn due to a capacity field.

D’CREATOR, a course scratching as it had skin allergy, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

EMPIRE BAY and KIM PROTECTOR, which were down 34kgs and 15kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

At the start, DRAGON KNIGHT (J Low) jumped awkwardly outwards and was slow to begin.

Shortly after the start, EMPIRE BAY (App KC Tham) steadied when tightened on the outside of TIGER STRIPES (HS Gill) which rolled outwards.

KIM PROTECTOR (App J Daniel) showed no pace in the back straight.

ALL SERENE (App SU Lim), which was pulling and difficult to settle, steadied off the heels of SIR RALLY (App S Shafrizal) at about the 1200m.

THE THINKER (CK Tan) and DRAGON KNIGHT were both caught wide at about the 700m.

MOVIE GOER (SS Vanan), which was racing keenly, steadied off the heels of CIZEN GIFT (App KC Wong) on the home turn.

App S Shafrizal, the rider of SIR RALLY dropped his off side rein at about the 150m.

Post-race veterinary examinations of CIZEN GIFT, ZENIDEKKA (F Yap), STORM HERO (J Shankar) and EMPIRE BAY revealed no obvious abnormality. CIZEN GIFT, ZENIDEKKA and EMPIRE BAY were impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

App J Daniel, the rider of KIM PROTECTOR reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of KIM PROTECTOR revealed no obvious abnormality.

COSTNER (J Chuah), which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

 RACE 3:  CLASS 5 - 1300M

AGUERO, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near-fore pastern, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

JETSTAR EAGLE, which was down 28kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

Trainer KF Wong was fined RM250 for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to seek the Stewards’ permission for Jockey WK Yan to ride 1½kg over on SILVERON WINGS within the stipulated time.

BIG EGO (M Wepner), which cast its off-fore plate in the parade ring, was re-shod, checked by the Veterinary Surgeon prior to the start and was passed fit to race.

FAIRBORN (App M Hanif) fly-jumped at the start and was slow to begin.

CLASSIC ARROW (M Yusri) was slow into stride.

JETSTAR EAGLE (App KC Tham) which hesitated at the start and was slow to begin, showed no early pace.

GHOST SPEEDY (HS Gill) was slow into stride and showed no early pace.

Approaching the 1200m, MULTI WEALTH (J Low) drifted inwards and had to be straightened and shortly after, rolled inwards away from HENNESSY DRAGON (R Burnett) and in doing so, bumped CABRERA (App AK Lim).

CLASSIC ARROW finished the race wide.

Post-race veterinary examinations of CABRERA and CLASSIC ARROW revealed no obvious abnormality. CLASSIC ARROW, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

Jockey HS Gill, the rider of GHOST SPEEDY, reported that his mount was making respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination revealed obvious abnormality.

The state of track was upgraded to "Yielding" after the running of this race.

 RACE 4:  CLASS 5 - 1300M

MY SWALLOW (SS Vanan) jumped awkwardly at the start.

At the start, MR DREYFUSS (App KL Lee) jumped awkwardly outwards, was slow to begin and showed no early pace.

MR VICTORY (App Z Khairil) jumped awkwardly and dipped shortly after the start.

Shortly after the start, NICE HAT TRICK (App J Daniel) was buffeted between POT BLACK (App KC Wong) which rolled outwards and PROPITIONS GOLD (WK Yan) which rolled inwards slightly.

Rounding the home turn, MONEY NOT ENOUGH (App M Hanif) was inconvenienced when racing tight on the inside of SILVER AND GOLD (App SU Lim).

Post-race veterinary examinations of SILVER AND GOLD, MY SWALLOW, PROPITIONS GOLD and MR DREYFUSS revealed no obvious abnormality. SILVER AND GOLD and PROPITIONS GOLD were impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

App Z Khairil, the rider of MR VICTORY reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.

App S Shafrizal, the rider of MOONBEAM DAZZLER, reported that his mount was making respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality and the gelding returned having cast its off-fore plate.

 RACE 5:  CLASS 5 - 1300M

POWER IN HAND, a course scratching as it was sore near-fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

BRITE LITES, which was down 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

SHINING SUPREME (App SU Lim) hesitated at the start and was slow to begin.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that BRITE LITES returned lame off-fore and as such will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

Post-race veterinary examinations of SHINING SUPREME revealed no obvious abnormality. SHINING SUPREME was impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

Jockey S Thai Yang, the rider of FREE GIFT, reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.

 RACE 6:  COSMO C - 1700M

As Jockey J De Souza was unable to ride LOVE ME, the Racing Stewards acceded to a request by Trainer P Pereira to withdraw LOVE ME at 2.00 pm.

Shortly after the start, IWA ANTILIA (HS Gill) steadied when tightened between FOX COMMAND (App KC Tham), which jumped awkwardly outwards, and STREET TEASE (M Wepner), which jumped awkwardly inwards.

SEA WORLD (J Low) and LIGHTNING THIEF (SS Vanan) both raced keenly and were difficult to settle in the early part of the race.

IWA ANTILIA was caught wide on the turn.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that SEA WORLD and MOGAN’S PRIDE (App SU Lim) returned having cast their near-fore plate and near hind plate respectively.

A post-race veterinary examination of WIND OF SUCCESS (App KC Wong) revealed that the gelding returned cut off-hind.

Post-race veterinary examinations of CARBON COPY (J Shankar) and DEVIL BULL (F Yap) revealed no obvious abnormality. Both geldings were impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

Jockey HS Gill, the rider of IWA ANTILIA reported that his mount was making respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.

 RACE 7:  RESTRICTED MAIDEN - 1200M

Steady rain fell prior to and during the running of this race.

Shortly after the start, GOLD COAST CAPTAIN (App KC Tham) was buffeted between JULY JUHO (S Thai Yang) which jumped awkwardly outwards, and YAYA TOURE (M Wepner) which jumped awkwardly inwards.

GHOST AFFAIR (HS Gill) and JULY JUHO were both keen and difficult to settle in the early part of the race.

At about the 250m, TURNED OUT (App S Shafrizal) switched outwards over the heels of JULY JUHO which was compounding, to obtain clear running.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that UNDERCOVER MISSION (App AK Lim) returned having cast its off-fore plate.

All riders returned to scale an average of ½kg overweight due to the adverse weather conditions.

 RACE 8:  COSMO C - 1200M

Shortly after the start, COBRADOR (J Low), MOGAN’S PET (App SU Lim) and TEN SENSE WIN (M Wepner) were all tightened between SCOTTIE (App Z Khairil), which drifted inwards, and GHOST STREET (HS Gill), which rolled outwards away from BLACK SEQUALO (App KC Wong).

COBRADOR was pulling and difficult to settle in the back straight.

GHOST STREET was caught wide on the turn from the 700m.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that COBRADOR bled and will be barred from racing for a period of six (6) months under MRA Rule 92(5)(a)&(b) and thereafter COBRADOR will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again. The gelding was impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

Post-race veterinary examinations of GHOST STREET and SELECT GATHERING (App M Hanif) revealed no obvious abnormality. GHOST STREET and SELECT GATHERING, which raced poorly, will each be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

 RACE 9:  COSMO C - 1200M

THE PROFESSIONAL, which was up 28kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

The Stewards acceded to a request by Trainer J Tan to remove the blinker/pacifier from SPEED FLYING (J Low) due to the adverse weather conditions.

Steady rain fell prior to and light rain fell during the running of this race.

THE PROFESSIONAL (S Thai Yang) jumped awkwardly, was slow to begin and showed no pace in the back straight.

Shortly after the start, CANDY CRUSH (WK Yan) steadied when tightened between EQUALLY OPTIMISTIC (A pp KC Wong) and BAZINGA (App P Mogun) which rolled outwards slightly.

DROGBA (M Wepner) which was pulling and was difficult to settle in the back straight, steadied at about the 700m on the inside of CANDY CRUSH which rolled inwards slightly.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that MY HANDSOME GREY (J Shankar) bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter MY HANDSOME GREY will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of SPEED FLYING revealed no obvious abnormality. The gelding was impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

All riders returned to scale an average of ½kg overweight due to the adverse weather conditions.

PENANG NOVEMBER HOME-BASED MEETING 2015

Jockey S Thai Yang, the rider of BAZINGA, was questioned regarding his ride in the home straight in the above race. He advised the Stewards that this horse had responded better without whip use in the concluding stages. Trainer S Hamilton confirmed that BAZINGA would appear to race better with minimal whip use. Her explanation was noted for future reference.

POST-RACE URINE: SUNDAY, 15 NOVEMBER 2015
PERAK NOVEMBER HOME-BASED MEETING 2015

The report dated 26 November 2015 (V15/150) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 37 coded urine and 37 sets of coded blood samples from the above-mentioned race meeting were received on 15 November 2015, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected
