 RACE 1:  (POLYTRACK)

After arriving at the barrier, I’M KOOL (N Juglall) had its saddle readjusted.

HARDEN UP (TH Koh) was slow to begin.

LOYALTY’S ANGEL (App N Alfian), which jumped away awkwardly, shifted outwards making contact with KAISER (App CC Wong).

Passing the 800m, LOYALTY’S ANGEL was steadied off the heels of KAISER, which shifted inwards.

DREAMCATCHER (M Nunes) had to be taken outwards near the 300m in order to obtain clear running.

Near the 300m, Jockey Juglall, the rider of I’M KOOL, dropped the near-side rein which he regained shortly thereafter.

Jockey Juglall reported that I’M KOOL was not striding out freely and making respiratory noises.  A subsequent veterinary examination confirmed that the horse returned not striding out freely.

 RACE 2:  RESTRICTED MAIDEN - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

SUN HANCOCK (K A’Isisuhairi) and VOYAGER (App J See) bumped on jumping.

BAIL OUT (E Aslam) jumped awkwardly outwards.

Shortly after the start, STAR GENIUS (App Y Salim), which was carried outwards slightly by GOLD PIN (App CC Wong), made contact with the hindquarters of THE WIND (R Woodworth), which in turn bumped BAIL OUT. Shortly after, STAR GENIUS and THE WIND both checked when racing to the inside of BAIL OUT. In this incident, GOLD PIN also had to be eased. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Passing the 800m, VINTAGE VERDOT (O Chavez) checked when racing to the inside of SUPER BRILLIANT (J Powell), VOYAGER, THE WIND and BEST JADE (M Nunes). An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Approaching the 700m, VOYAGER checked when racing to the inside of THE WIND and BEST JADE and to the outside of SUPER BRILLIANT. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

MONTE CARLO (N Juglall) raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 200m, BAIL OUT checked when racing to the inside of SECRET MAN (S John­). An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Shortly after, BAIL OUT rolled outwards with VOYAGER, which was making ground, having to be checked after racing up onto the heels of that gelding.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on STAR GENIUS which revealed no apparent abnormality.

App Salim will be questioned regarding the run of STAR GENIUS at a date to be fixed.

 RACE 3:  CLASS 4, DIV 2 - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

POWER LIN (App R Rueven) was crowded on jumping between CONFLIGHT (O Chavez), which jumped inwards and Q NINE MAGIC (M Nunes), which jumped outwards at the start.

KAISER BRIGHT (S Sam) was slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly.

POWER LIN was difficult to settle in the backstraight.

BLUE DIAMOND (App T See), which raced wide throughout, became unbalanced when bumped by Q NINE MAGIC approaching the 600m.

SUPERSONICSURPRISE (A Munro) was momentarily held up shortly after making the turn into the straight.

The Farrier reported that Q NINE MAGIC returned having cast its off-fore plate.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on Q NINE MAGIC which revealed no apparent abnormality.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on HIDDEN VENTURE (N Juglall) which revealed that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test.

Following the running of Race 3, App T See, the rider of BLUE DIAMOND, was examined by the Course Medical Officer who declared him unfit to fulfil his remaining riding engagements.

 RACE 4:  INITIATION, DIV 2 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

ARLO (M Nunes) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped GOLDEN IRON (App M Jailani).

SOUTHERN CHIEF (App J See) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped IN BOCCA AL LUPO (K Fujii). SOUTHERN CHIEF was then bumped by AMISTAD (A Da Silva) after that gelding jumped awkwardly outwards.

Shortly after the start, Jockey Nunes, the rider of ARLO, adjusted his near-side stirrup iron.

Shortly after the start, MANHATTAN DREAM (M Kellady) shifted outwards and made contact with MISS STREISAND (CW Brown).

DOUBLE DOUBT (N Juglall) showed no early pace despite the urgings of its rider.

Approximately 50m after the start, MANHATTAN DREAM had to be steadied to avoid the heels of HERECOMESMYMONEY (A Munro), which shifted inwards. Jockey Munro was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

Approaching the 800m, HERECOMESMYMONEY was carried outwards when AMISTAD steadied outwards away from the heels of SOUTHERN CHIEF, which shifted inwards. App J See was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

ONE MORE ACHIEVER (K A’Isisuhairi), which was racing keenly, had to be steadied off the heels of AMISTAD near the 700m.

IN BOCCA AL LUPO raced wide throughout.

MISS STREISAND had difficulty obtaining a clear run over the final 200m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SOUTHERN CHIEF which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 5:  KRANJI STAKES D, DIV 3 - 1600M (POLYTRACK)

KING SAVINSKY (M Nunes), which was slightly slow to begin, was crowded on jumping between KLEVER WARRIOR (J Powell) and REMEMBER ME (M Zaki), which shifted outwards and away from BEAUTIFUL WORLD (R Woodworth).

SPINNING SUCCESS (A Da Silva) and CANNON KING (App N Alfian), which both raced wide in the early stages, were carried wider making the turn near the 1200m when REMEMBER ME laid outwards.

WHITE COFFEE (K Fujii) raced wide from the 800m.

CANNON KING hung inwards in the straight placing its rider at a disadvantage.

Jockey Powell, when questioned regarding the run of KLEVER WARRIOR, stated that when he placed that gelding under pressure near the 1200m and again near the 1000m, KLEVER WARRIOR commenced to lose ground and he became concerned with the gelding’s action and therefore eased his mount down for the remainder of the race.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on KLEVER WARRIOR which revealed that the horse returned as a roarer. The Veterinary Surgeon also advised that KLEVER WARRIOR had previously undergone corrective surgery for this condition. KLEVER WARRIOR, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SPINNING SUCCESS which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 6:  INITIATION, DIV 1 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

ASTRO MAN (A Da Silva) began awkwardly.

CASTLE QUEEN (R Woodworth), which began awkwardly, bumped the hindquarters of PRINCESS ZOLA (J Powell).

NOVA VICTORY (App Y Salim) was slow into stride.

Shortly after the start, NOBLE SUN (K Fujii) shifted outwards and bumped LIM’S ABSOLUTE (App CK Ng).

Near the 1000m, SPEEDY MOMENT (E Aslam) checked when racing to the inside of AQUALAD (App MM Firdaus). An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Approaching the 200m, CONFACET (O Chavez) and ASTRO MAN brushed.

 RACE 7:  KRANJI STAKES D, DIV 2 - 1600M (POLYTRACK)

GREAT BALLS OFFIRE (App R Firdhaus) was restless in the barrier. Trainer S Burridge was advised that a warning has been placed on GREAT BALLS OFFIRE regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future.

MASTER BANGER (S John) began awkwardly.

TARAMEA (App CC Wong) jumped awkwardly outwards bumping HIPPO PROSPERO (App H Syafiq), which in turn made contact with Q NINE MAXIM (M Nunes).

KNOW EACH OTHER (N Juglall) blundered on jumping, shifted outwards and bumped FRANCES (App R Rueven).

MASTER BANGER and WINNING SUCCESS (M Zaki) both raced wide throughout.

KNIGHT SPIRIT (TH Koh) raced wide from the 1200m.

MASTER BANGER had a tendency to lay outwards throughout.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on MASTER BANGER which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 8:  KRANJI STAKES D, DIV 1 - 1000M (POLYTRACK)

DRAGON RUBY (App J See) and HELEN (App R Rueven) both jumped away awkwardly.

DUTY FREE (A Munro), which was slow to begin, got its head up on a couple of occasions shortly the start.

PO’DE OURO (M Rodd) and WILKINSON (App WT Chung) bumped on jumping.

Approaching the 800m, PO’DE OURO was crowded for racing room when WILKINSON shifted outwards.

JOY AND HAPPY (R Woodworth) and OCEAN WORLD (App Y Salim) both raced wide throughout.

 RACE 9:  KRANJI STAKES C - 1800M (POLYTRACK)

SKY ELEVEN (App WS Chan) and VERGLATICA (K Fujii) bumped on jumping.

CLUTHA LAD (O Chavez) raced wide throughout.

BLOSSOMS SEQUEL (M Nunes) was inclined to lay inwards in the straight.

Subsequent veterinary examinations were requested on both IDEAL GUIDE (M Rodd) and BLOSSOMS SEQUEL which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 10:  KRANJI BSTAKES D, DIV 1 - 1600M (POLYTRACK)

After arriving at the barrier, DUAL IMPACT (K Fujii) had its saddle readjusted.

DUAL IMPACT, which was slow to begin, was crowded on jumping between BIGCAT RHAPSODY (M Kellady), which jumped away awkwardly and THANKFULNESS (CW Brown), which jumped awkwardly inwards.

SATELLITE STAR (N Juglall) was slow to begin.

HUMOR TOWN (TH Koh) and GENERAL CONATUS (App R Rueven) bumped on jumping.

SATELLITE STAR and BIGCAT RHAPSODY both raced wide throughout.

ECLIPSE DANCER (A Munro) raced wide from the 800m.

Approaching the 300m, LA FONTANA (App MM Firdaus) shifted outwards making contact with ECLIPSE DANCER, resulting in that gelding being carried outwards. GENERAL CONATUS and BIGCAT RHAPSODY, which were both following, were also carried outwards slightly.

THANKFULNESS laid outwards passing the 200m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on BIGCAT RHAPSODY which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 11:  CLASS 4, DIV 1 - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

After arriving at the barrier, SUN EMPIRE (R Woodworth) had its saddle readjusted.

MR NEVERMIND (App Z Zuriman) was slow into stride.

VIVIANO (M Nunes), which was restless in the barrier, was marginally slow to begin.

Approaching the 1000m, VIVIANO commenced to race keenly when awkwardly placed on the heels of SUN EMPIRE. Shortly after, VIVIANO, when attempting to come to the outside of SUN EMPIRE, had to be eased when racing tight after ROSELLI (CW Brown) shifted inwards and away from the heels of ROYAL RULER (N Juglall).

BONJOUR BOB (M Zaki) got its head up when proving difficult to settle approaching the 800m.

Shortly after passing the 800m, COLONEL LINCOLN (M Kellady) lost ground when crowded to the inside of SUN EMPIRE, which in turn was being crowded by ROSELLI when that gelding shifted inwards and away from BACH’S AIR (A Da Silva).

Passing the 800m, VIVIANO shifted outwards making contact with MR NEVERMIND when being eased after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of BACH’S AIR.

Passing the 700m, VIVIANO again made contact with MR NEVERMIND when racing tight between that gelding and ROSELLI.

The Farrier reported that SUN EMPIRE returned having cast its off-fore plate.

Subsequent veterinary examinations were requested on both BACH’S AIR and VIVIANO which revealed no apparent abnormality.

RACE 2 [TF1280] : SUCCESSION

The Stewards acceded to Trainer M Freedman’s request to clear SUCCESSION for racing subject to the submission of a subsequent urine sample being free of any prohibited substance.

The SNTC Laboratory reported on 08 January 2016 that a sample which was submitted on Tuesday, 05 January 2016 for analysis revealed the horse, SUCCESSION, was clear of any prohibited substance and as such SUCCESSION was cleared for racing.
