 RACE 1:  CLASS 5 - 1000M (POLYTRACK)

MAJOR GREEN (App TR Barnabas), which was fractious in the barrier, will be required to pass one starting stall test prior to being declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).

PROBO CHANDROSO (App R Rueven) lost ground after beginning awkwardly.

WINNING STAR (S John) was slow into stride.

Shortly after the start, ZAC COMMAND (App CK Ng) shifted inwards and made contact with the hindquarters of TROPICAL FOREST (O Chavez).

Approaching the 800m, TROPICAL FOREST eased to avoid the heels of MACHFIVE (I Saifudin), which shifted inwards.

Near the 800m, MAJOR GREEN checked when racing to the inside of MACHFIVE. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

CONGO ZANDOR (R Woodworth) and ZAC COMMAND both raced wide throughout.

Near the 500m, CONGO ZANDOR and ZAC COMMAND both eased when momentarily crowded between TROPICAL FOREST, which rolled outwards slightly and DR OCTOPUS (M Rodd), which laid inwards.

App J See, when questioned regarding the run of AMISTAD, stated that the gelding showed no early pace from its wide barrier and hung outwards rounding the hometurn. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on AMISTAD which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 2:  INITIATION - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

Acting on veterinary advice that SPEEDY MOMENT (R Woodworth) was found to be lame near-fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1818Hrs. In terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.

MAGNETISE (CW Brown) lost ground after beginning awkwardly.

AH KAI (App CC Wong) was slow to begin.

COURT CASE (O Chavez) jumped awkwardly outwards.

Shortly after the start, FALKIRK LEAD (M Kellady) and INFANTRY (N Juglall) bumped. FALKIRK LEAD then shifted outwards and away from COURT CASE, resulting in INFANTRY being carried outwards and bumping LIM’S ABSOLUTE (A Da Silva) out onto RAJA RANI (App M Jailani).

Near the 1100m, INFANTRY eased to avoid the heels of ARLO (M Rodd), which shifted inwards. Jockey Rodd was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

Near the 900m, ARLO eased to avoid the heels of INFANTRY, which shifted outwards. Jockey Juglall was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

ARLO raced keenly in the early stages.

ANAK PENANG (A Munro) and GOLD RESERVE (App K Toh) both raced wide throughout.

LIM’S ABSOLUTE was held up for clear running from the 600m until approaching the 400m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on ANAK PENANG which revealed no apparent abnormality.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on AH KAI which revealed no apparent abnormality. AH KAI, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

 RACE 3:  CLASS 4, DIV 1 - 1000M (POLYTRACK)

RAZZOSTELLA (M Kellady) and EASY MONEY (M Au) both began awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, THE COSMOS (App CK Ng) shifted outwards and bumped ANONYMOUS (S John), which became unbalanced and had to be eased after making contact with the hindquarters of SATELLITE SPEED (App CC Wong), which had been bumped inwards by MILLION ROUND (I Saifudin).

ANONYMOUS proved difficult to settle in the early stages.

After passing the 800m, RAZZOSTELLA, which was racing keenly, shifted inwards and bumped THE COSMOS.

Near the 600m, RAZZOSTELLA, which was laying outwards, was eased. ALWAYS AHEAD (App J See), which was following, had to be steadied in consequence. ALWAYS AHEAD, when being steadied, rolled inwards crowding ANONYMOUS, which had to be checked.

After passing the 600m, SUGAR MAN (B Vorster) lost ground after being crowded between RAZZOSTELLA and EASY MONEY, both of which shifted ground slightly.

EASY MONEY raced wide throughout.

ANONYMOUS raced greenly throughout.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on RAZZOSTELLA which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 4:  MAIDEN - 1600M (POLYTRACK)

SPEED CRAFT (O Chavez), which began awkwardly, was bumped heavily shortly after the start by EAGLESHAM (CW Brown), which shifted outwards after beginning awkwardly. EAGLESHAM continued to shift outwards and made contact with the hindquarters of ZAHIR (A Da Silva).

SUN DANCE (R Woodworth) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped VOY (I Saifudin) in onto SHARP KNIGHT (S Sam), which had to be eased.

Near the 1100m, DASHING (App CC Wong) and ZAHIR bumped on a few occasions.

KNIGHT’S CHARISMA (App WS Chan) raced wide throughout.

After passing the 800m, SHARP KNIGHT had to be steadied after racing up onto the heels of KNIGHT’S CHARISMA.

Near the 700m, MIGHTY EMPEROR (B Vorster) checked when racing to the inside of KNIGHT’S CHARISMA and VOY. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Approaching the 500m, GANNA (App K A’Isisuhairi) had to be checked when tightened to the inside of SUN DANCE, which shifted inwards and away from VOY.

SHARP KNIGHT raced wide from the 800m.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that GANNA had returned with the saddle having slipped back during the running of the race.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SUN DANCE which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 5:  CLASS 4 - 1600M (POLYTRACK)

Shortly after the start, FORTUNE SPIRIT (App K A’Isisuhairi) lost ground after being buffeted between DOUBLE RAINBOW (J Powell), which shifted outwards slightly and PUSAKA (B Vorster), which shifted inwards.

Near the 400m, PUSAKA, which was laying inwards, was contacted on the hindquarters by THE GREAT GREY (App R Rueven), which was carried outwards by INVICTUS (I Saifudin).

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on THE GREAT GREY which revealed that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on HYDRO (CW Brown) which revealed that the horse returned not striding out freely.

 RACE 6:  KRANJI STAKES D - 1600M (POLYTRACK)

Trainer J O’Hara was fined a sum of S$50 in terms of MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the correct colours on SATELLITE PRINCE (App CC Wong).

SING EXPRESS (App H Syafiq) and CHEETAH KING (S John) were both slow to begin.

NATION THEATRE (App Y Salim) jumped awkwardly outwards, resulting in its rider becoming unbalanced.

Shortly after the start, RUN CHEETAH RUN (App J See) shifted inwards and bumped SATELLITE PRINCE in onto MONEY KING (M Ewe).

Approaching the 1400m, KIRKS RYKER (B Vorster) commenced to race keenly and proved difficult to ride. KIRKS RYKER then hung outwards for a number of strides after being bumped by SING EXPRESS, which was racing in restricted room between KIRK RYKER and LUCKY COME (App R Rueven).

MONEY KING and SATELLITE PRINCE both raced wide throughout.

MONEY KING had a tendency to lay inwards from the 800m.

Near the 350m, ALLEZ (A Munro) shifted outwards when improving and carried MONEY KING wider on the track. MONEY KING laid inwards under pressure from the 300m, resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten his mount.

For the majority of the homestraight, BLADEMEISTER (App K A’Isisuhairi) laid inwards, resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten the gelding on a number of occasions.

Jockey Munro reported that ALLEZ was not striding out freely.  A subsequent veterinary examination confirmed this.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on BLADEMEISTER which revealed no apparent abnormality.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on KIRKS RYKER which revealed that the horse returned with a cut on its off-fore.

 RACE 7:  CLASS 2 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

PIONEER SEVEN (App CC Wong) was unable to be loaded. To avoid unnecessary delay, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 2124Hrs. PIONEER SEVEN will be required to pass one starting stall test prior to being declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).

AFFLECK (M Rodd) and BLUE SWEDE (M Kellady) were both slow to begin.

SEBAS (App K Toh) shifted outwards and bumped KAM’S COMET (A Munro).

Shortly after the start, ALBANY REUNION (J Powell) eased when momentarily crowded between THESE STREETS (O Chavez) and KAM’S COMET, which shifted outwards.

THESE STREETS and GOOD NEWS (App R Rueven) both raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 50m, KAM’S COMET had to be steadied when disappointed for a run between KIWI KARMA (A Da Silva) and GOOD NEWS, which was shifting inwards. KAM’S COMET was then unable to obtain clear running for the remainder of the race.

Jockey Rodd, when questioned regarding the run of AFFLECK, stated that after being slow to begin, the gelding was forced to race back and to the inside of the field where it resented the kickback. He further added that AFFLECK is better suited when racing on the Turf Track surface. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on AFFLECK which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 8:  GRADUATION - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

ASPREY (App CK Ng) jumped awkwardly inwards and made heavy contact with HUMDINGER (CW Brown), which then checked off the heels of CUARON (M Rodd), which jumped outwards.

STICK SEEKER (App K Toh) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped MR NEVERMIND (App Z Zuriman) in onto MANGATOETOENUI (App R Rueven), which had begun awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, WELL DONE (App Y Salim) shifted outwards abruptly making heavy contact with the hindquarters of CASING ROYAL (App K A’Isisuhairi), which was shifting inwards.

Approximately 50m after the start, PEER GYNT (A Da Silva) eased when crowded between GOLDEN MILE (App CC Wong) and CUARON, which shifted inwards. Shortly after, GOLDEN MILE shifted inwards and brushed LIM’S ACTION (KB Soo) on a number of occasions.

ASPREY proved difficult to settle in the early stages.

STORM TROOPER (App R Hasri) proved difficult to ride in the early stages.

Near the 900m, CUARON had to be checked outwards away from the heels of STICK SEEKER, which shifted outwards to avoid the heels of MR NEVERMIND, which, when racing keenly, shifted outwards.

Approaching the 800m, MR NEVERMIND again shifted outwards proving difficult to ride and carried STICK SEEKER wider, resulting in CUARON having to be checked off the heels of that gelding. CASING ROYAL, which was racing to the outside of CUARON, was inconvenienced.

CASING ROYAL raced wide from the 800m.

ASPREY was held up for clear running from the 600m until the 350m.

PEER GYNT was held up for clear running for a short distance near the 350m.

After passing the 200m, PEER GYNT had some difficulty obtaining clear running.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on PEER GYNT which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 9:  CLASS 4, DIV 2 - 1000M (POLYTRACK)

COUNTRY WARRIOR (CW Brown), which was restless in the barrier, was slow to begin.

ENLIGHTEN KNIGHT (App WS Chan) lost ground after beginning awkwardly.

WINNER’S SMILE (S John) and RORY (App J See) bumped on jumping.

LUCKY BOY (App K A’Isisuhairi) proved difficult to settle in the early stages.

Near the 800m, LUCKY BOY lost ground after being crowded by RORY, which laid inwards and away from ALOHA (A Da Silva) when that gelding shifted inwards.

After passing the 800m, HONEST TRUTH (KB Soo) lost ground when crowded slightly by DOUBLE CASH (App M Khalid), which shifted inwards and away from LIM’S SINCERE (App H Syafiq), which shifted inwards. RORY and LUCKY BOY, which were both following, had to be eased in consequence.

COUNTRY WARRIOR raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 400m, RORY shifted outwards and carried WINNER’S SMILE and COUNTRY WARRIOR wider on the track.

Approaching the 200m , COUNTRY WARRIOR was carried wider on the track by RORY, which shifted outwards.

App A Syahir, the rider of KLEVER WARRIOR, reported that the horse returned having cast its off-fore plate.

App A’Isisuhairi, the rider of LUCKY BOY, reported that the gelding had returned with its saddle having shifted back during the race. This was subsequently confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on WINNER’S SMILE which revealed that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test.

ADDENDUM
SINGAPORE NOVEMBER MEETING 2015
SUNDAY, 15 NOVEMBER 2015:

RACE 2 [TF1354]

At the conclusion of an inquiry on Sunday, 6 December 2015, Jockey B Vorster, the rider of WARSHIP, was found guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding WARSPIRIT in Race 2 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 15 November 2015, near the 800m, he allowed his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear, thereby crowding ROYAL EASTER (CW Brown) and DEBT COLLECTOR (M Rodd), resulting in DEBT COLLECTOR clipping the heels of BAIL OUT (E Aslam) and dislodging its rider. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record and the degree of interference and carelessness. Jockey Vorster was suspended from riding in races with effect from Monday, 7 December 2015 to Wednesday, 6 January 2016 both dates inclusive (a period of one month) and was advised of his right of appeal.

Upon receipt of an application from Jockey Vorster, regarding his dates of suspension, imposed on Sunday, 6 December 2015 and submissions from Jockey Vorster that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 11 December 2015 and Sunday, 13 December 2015. The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin on Monday, 14 December 2015 until Wednesday, 13 January 2016 both dates inclusive (a period of one month). He was advised of his right of appeal.
