To further enhance the integrity of racing,
the Singapore Turf Club Laboratory has acquired the latest and highly
sensitive drug analysis equipment to improve the scope of its drug testing
prowess for both pre-race and post-race blood samples on racedays.
This highly sophisticated equipment, called the Quattro Ultima PT, will increase the sensitivity for pre-race testing by 200,000 times and is able to almost instantaneously screen and detect a wide range of potent performance modifying drugs, including the latest designer drugs. The equipment can handle multiple samples simultaneously, which enables the Club to screen all runners before they run.
