Malaysia introduces Proceed
Bets KUALA LUMPUR, 1 Febaury 2003 |
||
The three Malaysian turf clubs
will be introducing a new form of betting - Proceed Bet - starting from the
Selangor Turf Club February meeting in Kuala Lumpur today. I
In this new system, punters can reinvest their winnings and for a small investment, win big dividends. The proceed bet is for win and place. Punters can select one runner in each of the specified legs (two to six legs) and the system will automatically reinvest any winnings from one leg to the next selected leg. The first race selected is called the first leg. The next races selected will then be called the second leg, third leg and so on. All legs must be selected in ascending order, but need not be consecutive. The pool type must be common to all legs from the same racecard. The minimum investment is RM5 per unit. To calculate your winnings: Multiply the unit value of your whining ticket by the dividend of the first leg. Then, multiply the unit value of the dividend (rounded down to the nearest unit of investment) of the first leg by the dividend of the second leg and so forth. If your selected runner in a particular leg is scratched or a race abandoned, the investment shall be carried forward to your next selected race. |
