After the successful launch earlier this year of Orange and Lime Racing Trusts, preparations are under way by STC Racing Management Pte Ltd (STCRM) to launch a much anticipated third trust to the public in the coming months.

STCRM, which was specifically established by the Singapore Turf Club to introduce new owners to horse racing through group ownership in the form of racing trusts, is busy selecting bloodstock suitable for racing in Singapore and the third Trust’s needs.

According to Larry Foley, Manager STCRM, "The third Trust’s structure will be similar to those of the two existing trusts, with some modifications after taking into account valuable feedback from Orange and Lime Racing Trust stakeholders.

"We will be pre-purchasing the bloodstock, as we did for the first Trust, and will be buying four horses through Magic Millions of Australia".

Foley is of the view that the third Trust will be as popular as the first two as the interest from the racing public in the Trust concept, which offers an inexpensive, hassle free and educational avenue to ownership, has been excellent.

Once the four horses have been purchased and after they have passed thorough veterinary examinations, four trainers will be selected (as will the all-important name for the Trust) and the Information Memorandum will be published and publicly launched.

Once again, only 50 stakes will be offered and, while stakes in the third Trust will only be available after the official launch, potential stakeholders can contact STCRM Manager, Larry Foley, to express their interest and be placed on an ‘early bird’ preference list to avoid disappointment.

STCRM currently manages nine horses in Singapore for 100 stakeholders who, apart from enjoying the obvious thrill of watching their horses run, also get to enjoy stable tours, weekly updates on their race horses and other benefits of being an owner at the Singapore Turf Club.
