SINGAPORE,  23 December 2004

The Singapore Turf Club has withdrawn the visiting permit granted to South African Jockey Robert Fradd for the same period 2 January 2005 to 2 July 2005.

Fradd, who was granted the licence last month, has informed the Club that he made a mistake when filling up the application form. His intention was to ride in Singapore only from March 2005 after his present licence in Hong Kong expires. Fradd has since conveyed his apologies for the confusion and inconvenience he has caused.

Fradd, 40, has considerable success in Hong Kong where He finished seventh in the table the previous season with 39 winners. In his career Fradd has had some outstanding achievements including winning most of the major races in his native South Africa. He is also well known for his partnership with the brilliant Hong Kong based FAIRY KING PRAWN and has ridden over 2,000 winners to date.
