MAYO’S MUSIC, who went down
to EXAGGERATE by half-a-length in the E W Barker Trophy last month, turned
the tables on his stablemate in the S$250,000 Kranji Mile over 1,600m here
today.
Australian jockey Jason Patton was on a two-day visit when he just failed to land the prize on MAYO’S MUSIC last month. Back in Singapore this week at the start of a three-month stint, Patton renewed his partnership with the six-year-old bay Australian gelding by Procol Harum out of Mayo Million (by Royal Troubador) and this time they prevailed by a neck. Winner of four races in Australia, his latest success was his fifth in Singapore where he also finished second in the E W Barker Trophy last year. |
