Mohamed Sukri to train at Sungei Besi

KUALA LUMPUR,  23 September 2004

Mohamed Sukri, the former assistant to Bernard Ang for three years, has been granted a MRA licence to train at Sungei Besi from last Monday.

Ang, 59, the president of the Association of Racehorse Trainers Singapore since its inception in 1997, has been granted a trainer’s licence for the 2004/5 season in Macau, joining the likes of former MRA trainers Malcolm Thwaites, Vincent Chong and Michael Kent.

Ang has brought with him a select number of horses to Macau. Some will join Sukri at Sungei Besi while the remaining have been placed with other trainers.
