Korean jockeys Kim Hyo-Seob and Cho Kyoung-Ho will be make their Malaysian debut at Sungei Besi this weekend.

Kim has also spent three years riding in Japan and goes to scale at 53kg.

"I find the turf club here very picturesque and it is like a garden, compared to the Seoul racecourse", Kim said after a workout at the Selangor Turf Club yesterday morning. I hope to ride a winner here."

Kim will ride SOLAR ISTANA (Race 2) and SUMIZAKURA (Race 4) on Saturday and has picked up three mounts on Sunday: FLIP MASTER (Race 2), LOUIS THIRTEEN (Race 5) and THAT’S THE DAY (Race 9).

"It is indeed very interesting to see horses racing on the grass track. Back home, we race them on sand track because of the climate in Korea. As this is my first visit, I hope to make a good impression," said Cho.

Cho has been booked on NYMEX (Race 5) and emergency acceptor POSENDANZ (Race 9) on Saturday and has four rides on Sunday: SPEEDY MARCO (Race 2), READY AS EVER (Race 4), MONKEY SMILE (Race 5) and BEST POWER (Race 9).
