IPOH,  30 April 2005

Veteran trainer Loh Kit Soon has decided to quit after a career spanning 25 years.

Yesterday, he handed in a letter to the Perak Turf Club relinquishing his stables and also a letter to resignation to the Malayan Racing Association.

He is quitting with immediate effect and his four entries for this weekend's races at his home base Ipoh will be withdrawn.

Loh had entered PANCHO 'N SAL (Race 2) and NEVER GIVE UP (Race 5) today and FOLLOW 'N' FOLLOW (Race 1) and DE DAWN (Race 5) tomorrow.

Loh saddled three winners in the first four months of this season compared with four for the whole of last year. He fared better in 2003 with 12 winners. His best season in recent years was in 2001 when he sent out 16 winners.
