Apprentice H Mohammad disqualified

KUALA LUMPUR,  16 April 2005

App H Mohammad has been disqualified 12 months over a positive urine swab.

Yesterday, in the presence of his master, trainer Cecil Robert, Mohammad pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 204(3)(ii) in that he provided a sample of his urine on 27 March 2005 at the Penang Turf Club, which upon analysis, had detected in it a prohibited substance.

Mohammad was disqualified from racing for a period of twelve months effective 9 April 2005. He was advised that before he is to resume working within the industry, he must provide a sample which is free from prohibited substance.
