Mobile phone ban lifted

The Selangor, Perak and Penang Turf Clubs will
lift the ban on the use of mobile phones from Saturday.
But to maintain the integrity of horse racing, the Consultative Combined Committee of the three clubs has agreed that the use of mobile phones (to be on silent/vibrate mode) in the designated areas should as far as possible be consistent amongst the three Malaysian clubs. However, the restriction on the use of mobile phones will still be observed in certain areas designated as controlled areas in each club and racegoers are therefore advised to adhere to this prohibition.
