Eight pro-am meetings in

There will be eight combined
professional/amateur race meetings in 2005, one more than this year.
Also, the Malayan Racing Association has announced that the second weekend of the Selangor Turf Club January (Tunku Gold Cup) meeting has been moved Jan 29 (Sunday) and 30 (Monday) instead of Jan 28 and 29. Traditionally, no races are staged on
Chinese New Year eve which falls on Jan 28, a day when Chinese families
gather for their reunion dinners.
