Apprentices from Singapore
took out the final two legs of the annual Apprentice Jockeys Invitational
series today to win the team event.
But Mohd Yusri, who
finished second on SKY SUPREME, to add to his win on NORTHERN EXPRESS
yesterday, emerged as the top apprentice in the series.
Calvin Goon, replacing the
indisposed K Sara, promptly scored on the veteran LUCKY STREET (10 b.nz.g
Strausbrook - Witticism by Imperial Seal).
The third and final leg
went to Cheng Han Kok on ABRAHAM (7 b.nz.g Green Perfume - Spotlight by Vice
Regal).
The Singapore team,
comprising Adam Fiezan, Farick Tan, Goon, M Zaki, S Sandana abd Cheng
accumulated 116 points, 16 ahead of the Malaysian team of Yusri, Jackson
Low, Tai Lee Leong, Alex Chew, SS Vanan and Lai Kin Man.
