Stewart and Winks' stay extended

SINGAPORE,  16 June 2006
Australian jockeys Ronnie Stewart and James Winks will continue to ride at Kranji in the coming months after being granted extensions to their respective freelance jockey permits by the Singapore Turf Club.

Stewart, 22, is currently joint leader on the visiting jockey list and is equal sixth on the overall jockey premiership with 17 wins and 35 placings from 170 rides. Stewart’s licence has been extended to January next year.

James Winks, 22, is currently ninth on the table with 13 wins and 23 placings from 139 rides and his licence will be valid until September 30, 2006.

Stewart goes to scale at 50kgs and Winks at 53kgs.
